BUSINESS OWNERS

IF LIFE IS A STRUGGLE

GO AHEAD MAKE YOUR DAY – read on

  • When appointed by the court as Provisional Liquidator of a transport company the aim was to resolve disputes between directors and shareholders.  Auxilium Partners conducted an impartial investigation and the Court agreed that liquidation and selling company assets was the only solution. This meant creditors received a dividend of 33 cents in the dollar – remarkably good result for liquidation proceeds especially during COVID year 2020
  • The much-publicized sale of Pluton Resources Cockatoo Island iron ore mine (near Broome in WA) was the successful conclusion to Bob Jacobs’ role as Receiver. He was the last of 16 insolvency practitioners appointed to the company since 2013. This huge effort of diplomacy and persistence needed to resolve complex issues with several sets of court proceedings to achieve outcomes including millions of dollars paid to WA government in overdue royalties
  • A Deed of Company Arrangement (DOCA) for an Indigenous company succeeded through empowering the director to capitalize on his strengths in scoping new contracts while engaging a local accountant based in the Pilbara to take on accounting functions. Auxilium Partners were conscious of minimizing fees associated with the appointment so that this innovative DOCA could enable a structurally sound contracting company to continue and to thrive
  • “Opportunities abound even in COVID year 2020” says Bob Jacobs. We proved the 20-day Voluntary Administration (VA lite or simplified VA) process to be achievable in certain circumstances. Using his extensive restructuring experience as a Registered Liquidator, Bob guided a Perth restaurant business to reorganize in this short time frame. That restaurant is still operating today and serving excellent food!
